Returns will be honoured within 30 calendar days from the delivery date of the respective order provided the product is in original condition, has all the tags and stickers and in case where the product has been supplied damaged or supplied incorrect.

When an order has been undeliverable and returned to 1001 Optical, we will contact you to confirm your details and reschedule the delivery. If no reply is received within 30days, a refund will be processed back to you.

The returns and refunds process may take 10 – 30 business days.


  • The refund will be processed through the same method of the original payment.

  • The risk of loss or damage for all items shipped to 1001 Optical has to be borne by the sender/customer until 1001 Optical accepts and receives the item(s).

  • We reserve the right to reject future orders from those who have made unconfirmed claims for the non-delivery of good.

  • Breakage caused or incorrect prescription provided by you does not hold us liable to refund or replace under warranty. A replacement or repairing fee will be charged by us accordingly. The benefits and cost of delivery stay the same.

  • Replacements and repairs under warranty are valid depending on the nature of prescription errors and manufacturing faults.

  • Customer guarantees and warranties are subject to benefits depending on the returned product’s assessment for replacement or repair.

  • Refund amounts are limited to the maximum value of the original order and will be processed back via the same credit/debit card number used to place the order.

  • We reserve the right to reduce the amount of refund fairly depending on the quality of product returned in line with its usage, consumption, weathering or damage.

  • Defective products may also be returned in line with warranty periods.

  • Warranties are subject manufacturing defects or faults only.

  • Once the product has been delivered or picked up by the customer, any issues of stolen or accidental breakage does not imply refunds, exchanges or returns.

Additional terms for optical frames, sunglasses and prescription lenses:

In cases when you would like to return your order because of the eyewear not fitting your face correctly:

  • The refund will be provided for the frame price (as per the conditions mentioned above).
  • Half of the lens price will be provided in the form of a Gift Voucher (credit) which can be used for your future purchases as the lenses cannot be used again.

Additional policies for contact lenses:

In cases of returning contact lenses when your prescription changes, we may be able to replace these with your updated prescription however it depends on:

  • The condition of contact lenses being in a completely re-saleable condition with no damage or usage.
  • Realistic time left until its expiry (more than 6 months to expire).
  • Unmarked boxes/packs.
  • The contact lenses should be supplied by 1001 Optical.
  • Seal must not be broken.
For returns from countries other than Australia, we will cover your return postage of up to $15.00 and in cases of exchange, we will charge $15.00 for shipping the new items to your respective overseas address.
The time taken for overseas returns and exchanges will be higher due to longer courier transit service durations.
