Contact Lens Prescriptions vs Glasses Prescriptions

A contact lens prescription and glasses prescription are not the same due. This is due to the distance between the lens and the eyes. As a result, contact lenses and glasses require different tests and measurements. A contact lens eye test may also take longer than a traditional eye test - the initial consultation will involve collecting your measurements, then a secondary fitting to make any changes if necessary.

A contact lens consultation is covered under Medicare if you haven’t received a consultation for contact lenses in the last 2 years.
